“Rave the Planet” in Berlin: route, weather, music

After more than ten years, the “Loveparade” will celebrate its comeback on July 9, 2022 under the name “Rave the Planet”. Unlike the previous editions of the Love Parade, this time it should not only be a hedonistic fun event, but also express political demands. The organizers call for the recognition and preservation of electronic music as a cultural asset.

The techno demo is scheduled to move through Berlin on July 9, 2022. We have an overview of all information about the route, music and weather.

The route of “Rave the Planet”

The demo wants to form on Kurfürstendamm, from Bleibtreustrasse to Uhlandstrasse. From there it should start at 2 p.m. in the direction of Breitscheidplatz. The next stops, at which speeches are to be held, are planned at Wittenbergplatz, Nollendorfplatz, Potsdamer Straße, Schöneberger Ufer, Potsdamer Platz and the Brandenburg Gate. The final rally is to take place at the Großer Stern. The distance to be danced is around seven kilometers.

You can easily reach the underground station Uhlandstraße with the U1 or with the bus lines 109, 110, M19, M29 and X10. The S3, S5, S7 and S9 run from the nearby Savignyplatz S-Bahn station.

The music on the wagons

The “Rave the Planet” demo is mainly dedicated to electronic music. More than a hundred artists will play on a total of 18 music wagons on Saturday. Many of the floats, which the organizers call “floats”, are dedicated to individual Berlin clubs that organize the respective line-up. For example, there is a float from the “Anomalie” club, on which Alex Stein and Sophie Kah, among others, will play. But there will also be floats that are not related to the Berlin club scene, for example the “Lichtparade” float, which will be used by Cologne climate activists. Here you can see the line-up of all cars.

The weather on Saturday

Good rave weather awaits us in Berlin on Saturday, July 9th. According to current weather forecasts, the maximum temperature will be around 20 degrees. The sun should come out from time to time, but also hide behind clouds at times. A light wind prevents the ravers from getting too warm while dancing. It shouldn’t rain all day long.
