The ratiopharm Ulm basketball players have clinched their first away win of the season.
In the Eurocup, the Swabians won 90:86 (48:41) at the Turkish club Frutti Extra Bursaspor. The basketball Bundesliga club has a balanced record of 2:2 in the European Cup.
The Ulm team found their rhythm straight away: the guests got good shots both from the outside and in the zone, after the first quarter they were up 23:17.
The Bundesliga basketball team had some defensive problems on the basket, but maintained a 48:41 lead at half-time.
After the break, Ulm defended more strongly. In the first six minutes of the third round, they only conceded four points, the guests pulled away by 16 points.
The team from Bursa gained momentum before the quarter break and equalized 50 seconds before the end. While the hosts showed nerves on the free-throw line, Yago dos Santos (17 points) and Thomas Klepeisz (15 points) secured Ulm victory.
