The 2024 Formula 1 season is history, Max Verstappen is the old and new world champion. Who impressed last season and who disappointed? Vote now in the big sport.de voting!
Verstappen is still the king of Formula 1. Although the Dutchman struggled with the Red Bull in the second half of the season, he ultimately prevailed in the drivers’ championship with 437 points. He was followed by Lando Norris in a McLaren (374) and Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc (356).
Meanwhile, the Formula 1 Constructors’ World Championship was open until the season finale in Abu Dhabi. Here McLaren finally secured the title with 666 points. Ferrari (652) ended up just behind the racing team from Woking.
For Red Bull (589) it was only enough for third place this season. This was particularly due to the performance of Sergio Perez. The veteran has had a messed up year. The Mexican only finished eighth in the drivers’ standings with 152 points.
Formula 1: Hülkenberg wins internal team duel at Haas
Nico Hülkenberg, however, was the only German driver on the Formula 1 grid to be convincing. The 37-year-old collected 41 points and clearly put his Haas teammate Kevin Magnussen (16) in his place. The Emmerich native will continue working for Sauber/Audi next season.
