Rapper and businessman Jay-Z has been accused in a civil lawsuit of raping a 13-year-old girl, along with Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs. Shawn Carter, Jay-Z’s real name, mentioned the allegations in a statement “idiot”. He also said that he had received a settlement offer from Tony Buzbee, the attorney for the alleged victim. He is also the lawyer for several alleged victims of sexual assault by rapper Diddy, who is currently in custody. According to Jay-Z, the “blackmail letter” has the opposite effect and he “will not pay a cent.” He also asks the alleged victim to file a criminal complaint.

The civil lawsuit was filed in New York in October, but Jay-Z was not yet named as a defendant. The rapper would have been included in the original complaint as “celebrity A.” The case was refiled on Sunday because Jay-Z’s name had not yet been added to the subpoena.

The other defendant Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has been in custody since September on suspicion of extortion, sexual exploitation and human trafficking. After Combs’ ex-girlfriend filed charges against him in 2023 for rape and years of abuse, another three thousand people went to the police with complaints about his behavior between 1991 and 2024. In 120 cases, this resulted in a civil lawsuit. Combs denies all allegations and will be arraigned next May.
