Iltalehti reached Kärkkäinen on Monday during the day to comment on his condition.
– Pretty good health at the moment. I’m at home. I got out of the hospital at night, says Kärkkäinen.
Kärkkäinen said that his head started to fog on Sunday, after which he had to go to the hospital in an ambulance.
– The blood pressure rose to the pin. Then they gave me some medicine. There is fat around the liver and fluid has accumulated in the abdominal cavity. We need to investigate more closely whether the stomach is inflamed.
Kärkkäinen is also known in the media as Jouko, who drank for 42 days, which comes from his life-threatening subathon drinking marathons. He says that this time it wasn’t about the consequences of the marathon.
– I have been drinking for almost three years more or less, he says.
Kärkkäinen says that hospital trips make him think about alcohol use. However, he has confidence in his medication and has no plans to get sober.
