Raphael Heinold heads European wholesale

Raphael Heinold has been appointed Senior Vice President, Head of Wholesale and Brand Merchandising in Europe at Esprit.

In this position, he will be responsible for European wholesale, Esprit announced on Friday. He is also responsible for the areas of product management, omnichannel management and label operations, which have been combined as brand merchandising. He reports directly to Chief Product Officer Sang Langill and European President Leif Erichson.

He should “create synergies between the two business functions in order to offer customers an omnichannel experience,” according to Hong Kong. He should also help to drive the expansion of the clothing supplier in Europe.

Raphael Heinold at Esprit for the third time

Heinold previously worked at Esprit as Head of Product for the European market. He took over the position in March last year when Leif Erichson was appointed European boss. Before that, Heinold was Product Officer at Bonita and Product Director Red Label Women at Rottendorf-based fashion retailer S.Oliver. He worked for Esprit from 2005 to 2007 and from 2009 to 2014, most recently as Global Business Manager for the women’s collection, according to his Linkedin profile.

“I am delighted that Raphael has taken the lead in building even stronger relationships with our customers in Europe,” said Esprit Managing Director William Pak. “He has been with the company twice and has worked in various strategic roles for more than seven years. As the company enters a new phase of growth, I look forward to his passion and expertise about our brand, product development and merchandising.”
