Rangnick Club probably canceled a flight with a Russian airline

Manchester United have to prove themselves at Atlético Madrid on Wednesday evening. But the journey to the premier class game took place differently than planned. The reason for this was a Russian airline.

After the escalation in the Ukraine conflict, the English soccer record champions Manchester United apparently canceled the flight with the Russian airline Aeroflot to the Champions League game at Atlético Madrid. As the portal “The Athletic” and the “Daily Mail” unanimously reported, team manager Ralf Rangnick’s club changed the travel plans for the away game on Wednesday (9 p.m. in the t-online live ticker) at short notice on Tuesday.

Due to the long-standing partnership, ManUnited actually flies regularly with Aeroflot, the airline is one of the club’s official sponsors. According to media reports, the “Red Devils” traveled to Madrid on another charter flight.

The decision was made “amicably” with the Russian state-owned company. However, the partnership continues.
