Ramon Sinkeldam finishes outside the top 10 at the Dutch National Championships cycling

Ramon Sinkeldam warned in advance that Bauke Mollema would not take him on the VAM mountain during the Dutch National Championships. He managed to keep 33-year-old Assendelft behind him, but the 2017 winner did not go further than eleventh place.

In Drenthe the national title went to Pascal Eekhoorn. He finished five seconds ahead of Daan Hoole and twelve ahead of Taco van der Hoorn. Sinkeldam was unable to follow the group and finished at an appropriate distance. 1 minute 35 later than winner Eekhoorn, the North Hollander crossed the finish line.

Track cyclist Youri Havik also took part in the Dutch National Championships. He finished in 19th place almost three minutes behind the winner. Niki Terpstra was 25th. Dylan Groenewegen, Cees Bol and Jetse Bol were missing from the match.
