Rammed house in Maarheeze has been propped up, residents cannot return for the time being

The house on Stationsstraat in Maarheeze where a truck drove into on Wednesday was propped up on Wednesday evening. A construction company has placed prop posts under the floor in the living room. The truck was then towed from the house.

Images show that about ten shoring posts support the floor. A fence with black tarp has been placed in front of the huge hole in the side wall.

The truck has made a hole of at least five meters high and several meters wide in the side wall. The wall of the upper floor is also gone.

The residents, a husband and wife and two young children, spent the night elsewhere. It is not known how long they will not be able to go home.

The two children and their mother were at home when the truck combination drove into their home on Wednesday afternoon. The driver was trapped for some time, but was freed by the fire brigade and ambulance service.

The residents of the rammed home were unharmed. According to the man who lives in the house, his wife and two children were at home when the accident happened. The man says that the wood stove shot against the box due to the impact. There was a baby in there at the time.
