Krakow (dpa -Afx) – In Poland, an aircraft has strayed from the runway when it rains, got on the lawn and got stuck. All around 190 passengers could have left the machine safely, said an airport spokeswoman on Sunday, according to the PAP agency. According to initial information, nothing seriously has happened to anyone. The incident occurred at Kraków’s international airport (Krakow), the second largest in the country.
Starts and landings interrupted for several hours
The aircraft of the charter company Enter Air had brought vacationers back to Poland from Turkish Antalya. The company said “during the landing under very difficult weather conditions (pouring rain) on an unpaved part of the airfield outside the roller train”, the company said on Facebook.
