Rage Against The Machine announce new European tour – a concert in Germany

Rage Against The Machine actually wanted to tour Europe in 2020 and play an exclusive headliner concert at the Lollapalooza Festival in Berlin. Nothing came of it for well-known reasons. Now the legendary crossover band has announced new dates – and for once, Berlin is going empty-handed.

After appearances in North America at the end of August to mid-September, the “Public Service Announcement” tour will take Rage Against The Machine for a total of 13 concerts to various major European cities. In addition to festival shows in Leeds, Reading and at Rock En Seine in Paris, they are also visiting Germany for a concert. However, this does not take place at the Lollapalooza Festival or anywhere else in Berlin, but in Hanover. On September 3, 2022, Zack De La Rocha, Tom Morello, Tim Commerford and Brad Wilk want to give an exclusive open-air concert at the Expo Plaza site there.

Rage Against The Machine formed in Los Angeles in 1991. Their debut RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE is not only considered a milestone in crossover, but also one of the most important and political rock music albums ever. Three more albums followed, the dissolution in 2000 and a live reunion in 2007. Singer Zack de la Rocha, guitarist Tom Morello, bassist Tim Commerford and drummer Brad Wilk played their last concert together in 2011.

In 2001, without de la Rocha, the former RATM members formed the band Audioslave with Chris Cornell. In 2007, after three albums, they broke up again. Since then, things have been quieter around MC and activist Zack de la Rocha: A planned solo album has never been released, de la Rocha has only been heard on various features. In 2016 Morello, Commerford and Wilk formed the supergroup Prophets Of Rage along with rappers Chuck D and B-Real. They had it again in the course of the announced RATM reunion found its end.

The Lollapalooza Festival in Berlin recently announced its line-up for its comeback in 2022. Among others, Die Fantastischen Vier, Casper, Machine Gun Kelly, AnnenMayKantereit and Kraftklub will perform there. Another headliner has yet to be announced.
