With “Bettie James – Gold Edition” Jimmie Allen released a follow-up to his “Bettie James” project in 2021. Once only available digitally, the album is now also available on CD.
Already with “Bettie James” (2020) Allen proved his love for music of different styles. From country and pop to rock and R&B. Back then, the singer worked with different artists on each of the long player’s seven tracks to create a genre-bending album. Among them were Brad Paisley, Tim McGraw, Noah Cyrus and Nelly. This concept was continued in “Bettie James – Gold Edition”. In addition to the seven songs from “Bettie James”, nine more songs can be heard with artists of different styles. On the impetus behind Bettie James – Gold Edition, Allen says, “When it comes to music that I love, I don’t really stick to any boundaries or genres. I thought we were going to stop collaborating after ‘Bettie James’ and then I was like, man, there’s so much music out there that I love, so many artists that I love, and I just wasn’t done yet. “
