Raffle: Placebo published documentary

Placebo brought out their documentary “This Search for Meaning” as DVD and Blu-ray on October 3. The Scottish director Oscar Sansom directed. The film celebrated its cinema premiere last year, but has now been expanded to include live records and a bonus edition of her 2022 plant “Never Let Me Go”.

The film is an “intimate and revealing journey into the world of thought, which is based on the texts and topics of Placebos Songs,” says the band. He tells the development of the band based on interviews with the band members and of personalities from art and culture that were inspired by placebo. According to Shirley Manson, Garage, Robbie Williams, Yungblud, Rebecca Lucy Taylor von Self Esteem, Joe Talbot by Isles and Stuart Semple have their say.

In the documentation, archive material from the band history and live performances are included, which according to its own information was recorded exclusively for the documentation. There are also songs from the current album “Never Let Me Go”. The band’s appearance in Mexico City is also included in the collection in 2023.

“Never Let Me Go” is the eighth studio album of the British alternative rock band, which was released in March 2022. According to “Discogs”, all songs were written and produced by the two placebo members Brian Molko and Stefan Olsdal. The duo received support from Steve Ludwin Forever Chemicals and Fix Yourself from live bandmate Bill Lloyd.
