Officially confirmed: Radiohead played four shows at the O2 Arena London in front of over 22,000 spectators each. Program director D’Acuna confirms record.

The British rock band Radiohead recorded record numbers of visitors to their London concerts. Previously, Metallica held the record for the highest attendance at this venue.

Four sold out shows with over 22,000 fans per night

The band founded in 1985 around frontman Thom Yorke played a total of four shows in London’s O2 Arena. The concerts took place on November 21st, 22nd, 24th and 25th, 2025. Every evening they brought more people to the large location. In doing so, they broke the record that Metallica once set in the event arena every evening.

Over 22,000 fans came to each of the four concerts – on the last evening there were even 22,355 spectators. “These four record-breaking nights will go down in arena history as Radiohead broke the attendance record on each night,” O2 Arena program director Christian D’Acuna told New Musical Express. “It was an honor to have them with us” and “these concerts will be remembered for years to come,” D’Acuna continued.

Celebrated 40 years of band history with benefit concerts

This year the band has been in existence for 40 years. All four concerts in London were benefit concerts to raise funds for LIVE Trust and the Samaritans. The organizations support independent music clubs and promote mental health awareness. Drummer Philip Selway emphasized on social media that the Samaritans in particular are particularly close to his heart.

Live comeback after seven years with health complications

Four gigs were actually announced for the beginning of December in the Danish capital – but the first two of them were postponed due to lead singer Thom Yorke’s health problems. He’s probably battling a severe sore throat, the band wrote on Instagram. The shows from December 1st and 2nd will be rescheduled on December 15th and 16th.
