“Waking up peacefully is no longer an option,” has been the slogan of the morning show since September 1 Gordon & Froukje on Radio 10. But listeners do not seem to want to wake up early for the program. The channel scored a market share of 7 percent last summer. There is now only 5.2 percent left.

It is Radio 10 DJ Jan-Paul Grootentraast who will now be behind the buttons during the program. He is removed from the weekend programming to strengthen the Gordon & Froukje team.
Anyone who listened on Monday morning heard that the Radio 10 DJ is mainly at the show to announce the music. Furthermore, it is the name bearers of the program who still have to provide the laughs and content.
‘Peace and balance’
When asked, Radio 10 emphasizes that the arrival of Grootentraast has nothing to do with disappointing results. “It is true that Jan-Paul Grootentraast is a permanent part of the morning show on Radio 10. It brings peace and balance to the program, which also strengthens Gordon and Froukje, together with Jan-Paul.”
A morning show is not new for Gordon. After filling in for Edwin Evers on Radio 538 in 2006, he was given a weekend program on the hit channel. After this he was bought away by John de Mol to create the morning show at Noordzee FM, which he presented for three years. De Both also spent ten years behind the microphone at Radio 538.
