Advionics develops and produces high -frequency technology for both military and civil applications. The company’s showpiece is an innovative IFF antenna that rotates electronically instead of mechanical. Such an antenna can determine whether an object is hostile or not.
“A standard IFF antenna rotates mechanically, but our product uses 64 antenna ramping elements that are switched electronically,” explains CEO Jan Bonte. “On a frigate, our system can also compensate electronically for the movements of the ship.”
The high -frequency products from Advionics are not only used for defense, but also in the medical sector, for example in combating cancer.
