“I have been a youth worker and a street coach. I get along well with those boys and they look up to me. I saw them on the street and didn’t want them to go to prison,” says Saïdi.
The trainer has also been important for D’Angelo Jandroep in recent years. “When I was on the street I would get a call from him. He would say don’t go home too late and listen to your mother. All that kind of advice has made me the person I am today,” says Jandroep.
Both Jandroep and Lahboub will be in action on Saturday at The Night of Generation.
