Rachel Hazes is shocked. This week she came face to face with Telegraaf reporter Jordi Versteegden, the buddy of her arch-enemy Evert Santegoeds. “Via FaceTime.”
It has been quiet around Rachel Hazes lately. Very quiet. And according to Privé boss Evert Santegoeds, this has a very specific reason. He has heard that her long-awaited book, in which she settles scores with all kinds of critics, is finally coming. Actually, the publication on June 30 should be a surprise, he chuckles Strictly Private.
June 30
Evert is now ruining that surprise. “Rachel has been very quiet lately and that is because she was putting the finishing touches to the big Rachel Hazes book. From what I understand, the publication date is June 30th. It should have appeared like a bolt from the blue. That is the day on which André Hazes would have turned 75.”
He continues: “It has been postponed for a long time, very often and I already thought: am I never going to read what she really thinks about me? But another good month and then I will know. Well, I have no illusions.”
Greetings
Telegraaf reporter Jordi Versteegden surprises Evert. “You should get his regards from her. Something very strange happened last night. I was in the pub in Amsterdam and I was sitting at the bar and the owner was sitting on the terrace with Rachel Hazes in Spain.”
And then? “In one go he FaceTimes me and sure enough, who comes into the picture: Rachel. Oh no, I think he was completely shocked. He thinks: I don’t want that guy either. I think he just said hello to Evert. I think I heard that, right?”
Miracles
Evert is not impressed. “Well, then I might also get an invitation to the book presentation. The world is still full of wonders.”
In any case, he concludes: “Rachel’s book is really coming. After years of threats, it is really coming. It is her truth.”
