The sustainable,-oriented Freiburg mail-order raccoon has submitted an application for a renovation procedure to the responsible district court.
The management consciously chose self -administration in order to control the renovation self -determined and to set the course for a sustainable future, the raccoon GmbH said. The court appointed lawyer Dirk Pehl from the Schultze & Braun law firm to the administrator. The company is supported by the general representative Thorsten Schleich and its law firm Schleich & Partner.
“Our top priority is to maintain business and create sustainable future prospects for our employees, customers and business partners,” says Managing Director Katharina Hupfer.
The background to the renovation is the persistently bad consumption mood. In all areas of the company, the teams work on different restructuring measures. “The continuation of the business is ensured,” said Schleich. “In the coming months we will drive the renovation and simplify corporate processes to make raccoon sustainable.”
The procedure was initiated on February 28th and the around 230 employees informed about the current situation. The business is continued during the renovation and so the online shop for customers is also available: inside. The physical store in Freiburg also remains open. The company of the same name in Switzerland is not affected by these measures.
As a mail order company in German -speaking countries and in the Netherlands, raccoon offers products such as clothing and shoes, cosmetics and household goods.
