The Blockfest festival started today in Tampere, but even that didn’t avoid organizational problems similar to the events reported in the summer. According to the eyewitnesses who were there, the line to exchange wristbands is not moving.

Iltalehti caught up with an eyewitness in the queue, who has already queued for more than 1.5 hours in the central area of Tampere to exchange wristbands in order to get inside the event.

The wristband exchange point is located near shopping center Ratina and Koskikeskus. There is still a queue of about 1.5 kilometers from the eyewitness’s place. Behind him, the long line continues until near the Tampere railway station.

According to an eyewitness, the queue will last at least three hours. There are around 2,500–3,000 people waiting to get into the wristband exchange. The queue has moved less than 500 meters in an hour.

Visitors have no idea why the arrangements take so long.

– An hour ago, the order supervisor went around the queue, but no information was received, the eyewitness describes.

– Strong fear of not seeing the main artist. There is no hope at all, he states discouraged.

There is another eyewitness in the same situation in terms of queuing, who also arrived on time to queue with his entourage.

– The queue has now lasted more than an hour and a half, and there is even more time to queue. Because of the queue, you can’t see the artists you came to see, an eyewitness describes the queue chaos.

The party would have liked to see the rapper William’s, which, according to the Blockfest program, performed after six. Due to the queuing situation, they are afraid that they won’t even see the main artist of the evening, i.e. the rapper 50 Cent, who will perform at eleven in the evening.

– Now we are not sure if we will even see the main artist. It was recommended online that you should get that bracelet. It was not said that there is a queue of more than two hours, commented a member of the party.

They sent a message to the Blockfest organizers about the queuing chaos, but received a reply that the situation would be rectified. However, according to the party, nothing has happened for over an hour, and the queue is standing.

– Everyone is really irritated and some try to pass. I got a feeling from the parties. It makes no sense to go there, even if you have paid 200 euros for the tickets, the entourage is described.

One of them states that they are not going to buy tickets to the event next year. They are going to demand their money back because they won’t be able to see most of the artists due to standing in line. According to them, the queue for the area just keeps getting bigger and bigger.
