Meat Loaf has passed away at the age of 74. His agent and now also relatives have confirmed the death of the singer and actor on Facebook. However, it is still unclear why he died – the family has not yet provided any information on the cause of death.
However, it is obvious that the musician’s state of health was already bad in advance. Facebook said his wife Deborah, daughters Pearl and Amanda, and close friends were with him when he passed away. Apparently, relatives had time to say goodbye and were able to personally support him in the last hours of his life.
Nevertheless, the death comes as a surprise to fans, since Meat Loaf had announced in November that he would be back in the studio from the beginning of January to record new music. It is not yet known whether a short, serious illness or an accident preceded it, or whether Meat Loaf already knew about an illness in November. The agent and family are currently silent on the circumstances of the death.
