Quentin Tarantino is in talks to direct multiple episodes of upcoming Justified revival City Primeval. This is reported by “Deadline” on Thursday (February 24). Timothy Olyphant will reprise his role as Raylan Givens in the new series. The connection to the creator of “Pulp Fiction” should be familiar to fans: Olyphant starred in “Once Upon A Time In Hollywood”.
He did so presumably because Tarantino is a big Justified fan; not only because of the actor, but also because of Elmore Leonard, who wrote the novel of “Jackie Brown” (so far the only adapted script in the director’s biopic!) and also created the character Raylan Givens.
Quentin Tarantino and television
There have long been rumors of when Quentin Tarantino could work for television or one of the streaming giants, despite his open desire to retire soon. In the past, however, there have been several contacts with the medium. Tarantino directed one episode of “Emergency Room” in 1995 and directed two contiguous episodes of “CSI” in 2005.
Recently, apart from his unconvincing debut as an author, Tarantino has been a little quieter. Again and again he himself brought up his preparatory work for his own “Star Trek” film. But there still seem to be a few hurdles here, so that the project is not even past the idea phase.
