Arte dedicates Quentin Tarantino an extensive film series these days. Several of his works and accompanying documentation are available both in the TV program and in the transmitter’s media library. It started with the feature film “Jackie Brown” (1997) and the documentary “QT8: Quentin Tarantino – The First Eight” (2019), which are now still available in the media library.
Kick off the program series
As I said, the broadcaster showed “Jackie Brown” and “QT8” to get started with the weeks around the American director. The former tells of a flight attendant (Pam Grier) who smuggled money for a weapon dealer (Samuel L. Jackson) and, after her arrest, gets into a game of loyalty and deception. The accompanying documentary “QT8” illuminates Tarantino’s early career, his first eight films and, among other things, has producer Stacey Sher and actor Michael Madsen.
Full of focus on Tarantino
On Monday, June 23, Arte continues the series to Quentin Tarantino: At 10:25 p.m. the documentary “Uma Thurman – The Silent Fighter Hollywood”, which is dedicated to the close connection between the actress and Tarantino. This is followed by “Kill Bill – Volume 1”, the first chapter of the well -known revenge history with stylized fight scenes and eye -catching visual language. A week later, on June 30th at 10:10 p.m., Arte then shows the second part, “Kill Bill – Volume 2”.
Many content also available in the media library
In addition to the TV broadcasts, many of the Quentin-Tarantino films are already available in the ARTE media library. Including “Reservoir Dogs – Wild Dogs” and “Death Proof – Mandy”. The film series offers a compact overview of the previous work of Tarantinos.
