Queen Silvia received an honorary doctorate in Britain

The Queen of Sweden was awarded a university title for her promotion work.

Queen Silvia, 79, received an honorary doctorate. The prestigious title was awarded to the Queen by the Scottish University of Stirling.

The queen received the title for her work with dementia, which is appreciated internationally.

For years, the Queen has funded world-renowned dementia researchers through her Silviahemmet charity, which is considered to have promoted research and work on dementia. The Queen has especially supported the research work carried out by the University of Stirling.

The Queen’s work was rewarded today, June 28, at the University of Stirling’s graduation ceremony, where Silvia received an honorary doctorate hat and title.

The Swedish royal family’s Instagram account published a photo of the ceremony, where Silvia, dressed in a doctor’s robe, receives a doctor’s hat from the university’s leading professor.

In the royal publication, many have congratulated the queen who received the title.

In addition to Silvia, the university awarded three other people with the title of honorary doctorate for their significant work in the promotion of art, community and business.
