Charles and the Queen Camilla will also host a gala reception at Buckingham Palace. Representatives of organizations that Elisabet worked for have been invited to the reception. Also other members of the royal family, such as the prince William’s and the princess Catherine’sis expected to attend the event.
Earlier in April, The King’s Gallery, located near Buckingham Palace, opened show Queen Elizabeth II: Her Life in Style. The exhibition, which is open until October, features more than 300 clothes and accessories from the queen’s long life.

Clothing items not only from Elizabeth’s reign but also from early childhood are on display. On display are Elizabeth’s christening dress, wedding dress and coronation outfit. The official representative outfits are complemented by the clothes worn by the queen in her free time.

On Tuesday, April 21, the 100th anniversary of Elizabeth’s birth, the royal couple and several other members of the royal family will visit the British Museum to view plans for a future memorial to Elizabeth. A publicly funded memorial is planned near St James’s Park, which is expected to consist of several statues and a bridge resembling the Queen’s wedding tiara, Town & Country reports.
On the same day, the Queen Elizabeth Memorial Garden will be opened in Regent’s Park, which is free to enter. Princess Anne will officially open the garden for use on Tuesday.

Royal Mint has minted a limited edition of various commemorative coins to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Elizabeth’s birth. The most expensive of the coins, the one-kilo silver coin, has a price of 4,217.50 pounds, or more than 4,800 euros. You can get a five-pound holiday coin in a holiday package for around 20 euros.
