Qmusic will make ‘everything in everything’ to retain Mattie Valk and Marieke Elsinga as a radioduo, suspects private boss Evert Santegoeds. “All those bus shelters have cost so much money for years.”

It is the most important show in programming for radio stations: the morning show. The morning rush hour is the moment when most people listen to radio, so if you know how to build a band with your listener during that ride, there is a good chance that it will also switch on at other times. And Qmusic is therefore investing heavily in the morning.

All fut out

Qmusic was rammed for years with Mattie Valk and Wietze de Jager, but six tons and a Tesla meant the end of their duo and friendship. Now Mattie is stuck Matte Marieke Elsinga, who has long stories every morning about baby wipes, poop diapers and how bad you don’t sleep as a young mother. In other words: all fut is out.

Mattie seems to have a lot of pent -up anger, because he recently told Marieke Live on Air Once good the truth. He was all the way with all those diaper talks and decided to point out to her. A listener was allowed to branch in to mediate between the two, and according to that listener it has not been good between them for about two and a half months.

Downplay

It seems that Mattie and Marieke are growing a bit apart: according to her he is also becoming more and more right, while she is getting more and more left. And after that arguing on the radio, the two are busy all day for everything downplay. Recently they were allowed to say in Boulevard – separately from each other – that nothing is wrong, and now he repeats that at De Telegraaf.

Mattie says: “There is not much to respond to it, because it is all quite out of context. We have been on the radio for the past six years and we have had discussions more often. That happens when you make 3,000 shows. All -good. And whether we are having a good time? Listen again tomorrow. ”

‘Interests’

Private boss Evert Santegoeds is skeptical and thinks Mattie and Marieke have been rejected behind the scenes. “All good? Yes, beautiful. Do you know what also plays a role here? The word ‘interests’, because a lot has been invested in putting this duo on the market, “he says in the podcast Strictly private.

Colleague Jordi Versteegden, media reporter of De Telegraaf, agrees: “Yes, with all those posters.”

Everything on everything

Such an advertising campaign to put a morning show on the market costs claws full of money. “They have done that before with another duo with Mattie, and that has also been pearls for the pigs when they broke up popping,” explains Evert.

Q will therefore do everything about the preservation of Mattie & Marieke, he says. “If they have problems then it is mediated, then they can do a week without each other, I know a lot. Then everything is done to save that duo, because all those bus shelters have cost so much money over the years … It’s a shame to throw it all overboard. ”

Hands in the hair

Jordi thinks they are very much worried about in the office at Qmusic. “I really think they were in her hands at Qmusic last week. It was once Q is Good for You, that entire station is all about positivity and now you only have those negative headlines. It is therefore important to quickly suppress that. “

Evert: “They did that, he cooperates with that, so it will all be fine.”
