Qatar Airways places large orders with Boeing | Economy

Qatar Airways has placed two major orders with American aircraft manufacturer Boeing. The airline will purchase 34 777x freighter aircraft and 25 737 MAX 10 aircraft.

In addition, Qatar Airways has taken options to purchase an additional sixteen 777x aircraft and twenty-five 737 MAX 10 aircraft. The agreement between the airline and Boeing was signed at the White House. The Qatari leader is currently visiting Washington. The deal is worth many billions of dollars, but usually discounts are offered for large orders.

Qatar Airways is in conflict with European Airbus, which recently canceled an order for fifty A321neo aircraft from the company. Airbus and Qatar Airways are at odds over the A350.

According to Qatar Airways, there are problems with the paint layer and that is why those aircraft are being grounded. The airline wants high compensation, but Airbus does not want that.
