The US fashion group PVH Corporation is getting reinforcements from the Swedish clothing retailer Hennes & Mauritz AB (H&M). On Tuesday, the parent company of the Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger brands announced that David Savman had been appointed executive vice president and chief supply chain officer (CSCO). He is scheduled to take up his new post later this year and will then be responsible for “the global supply chains and sourcing strategy” of all group brands.
Savman has spent the past 19 years at Hennes & Mauritz. As Head of Global Supply Chain, he was most recently in charge of all aspects of procurement and warehouse logistics in over eighty countries, his future employer said. At PVH he will now succeed Sarah Clark. This will leave the company on October 31 to “pursue other interests,” the group said.
CEO Stefan Larsson, to whom Savman will report directly, thinks highly of the new addition-designate: “David is a world-class supply chain manager who has in-depth experience and knowledge of our industry. He acquired this through many years of leadership in key areas where we see opportunities.” With his “proven ability to simplify complexities”, commitment to sustainability and experience in international markets, Savman will play an “important role” in implementation in the future play in PVH’s growth strategy, Larsson explained.
