The Kazaka has closed (lost) the match with Anisimova in tears. A similar episode had happened to Raducanu in the last Dubai tournament
The adventure of Wimbledon of Yulia Putintseva has already ended. The Kazaka, who last year on the London grass had surprised none other than Iga Swiatek, this time greets the Slam in the first round, remedying a double 6-0 from Amanda Anisimova. And closing the match between tears, not so much for the defeat, as especially for what happened in the middle of the first set, when he made a spectator removed from the stands fearing he had a knife.

The viewer for Kazakh represented a threat. Below 0-3 in the first set, at the field exchange, Putintseva in fact began to show signs of panic, until he turned to the chair judge. Saying: “That guy dressed in green must be removed from the grandstand. People like this can be crazy, it is dangerous. As long as he is there I will not continue to play, he could have a knife”. At that point the security intervened and took away the man from the stands of field 15.

Putintseva, however, was unable to recover psychologically and returned to the game: Anisimova won 6-0 6-0 in not even an hour, while Kazakh left the field after bursting in tears. He did not even show up at the press conference, without however giving explanations. Anisimoca, however, spoke of the incident: “I think that man said something to her while she was serving”. The episode recalls what happened to Emma Raducanu in the last Dubai tournament a few months ago: the British tennis player broke out in tears when she recognized a “fan” too fond of her in the stands, which had followed her in four countries. Raducanu, in panic, had managed in that case to arrest the stalker who, among other things, in the same period he had also tried to buy tickets to observe it up close in this edition of Wimbledon.
