Putin prepares Russia for “eternal war” with the west as invasion of Ukraine stalls

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov recently delivered a sobering message to guests at a private party in Moscow. He said the war in Ukraine will last “a long, very long time” and it will get “much more difficult”. This is reported by the British newspaper ‘The Guardian’, which also quotes an expert who interprets Peskov’s announcement and recent speeches by Putin as a démarche by the Kremlin to prepare the Russians for an “eternal war” with the West.
