Putin discussed with Tokayev the situation in Kazakhstan and the actions of the CSTO – RBK

Russian President Vladimir Putin held several telephone conversations with his Kazakh counterpart Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and discussed with him the situation in Kazakhstan and the actions of the CSTO within the organization’s mandate. About it it says on the Kremlin website.

“They discussed the situation in the republic, joint actions within the framework of the CSTO mandate to combat international terrorism and to ensure order and security of citizens of Kazakhstan,” it was reported. The negotiations took place from 6 to 7 January.

In addition, Putin spoke with other leaders of the CSTO countries – the presidents of Kyrgyzstan, Belarus and Tajikistan Sadyr Zhaparov, Alexander Lukashenko and Emomali Rakhmon. He also spoke on the phone with the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan. The Kremlin press service does not give details of the conversation.

Pool of the First Telegram channel close to the Belarusian president reportedthat besides Putin, Lukashenko also talked with Pashinyan. Topical issues of the international agenda, as well as bilateral relations and events in Kazakhstan, were the topics of conversation between the prime minister and the presidents.
