Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated the choreographer and People’s Artist of the USSR Yuri Grigorovich, who turned 95, on his birthday. President’s telegram published the press service of the Kremlin.
“An outstanding dancer and choreographer, a true patriarch of the Russian school of classical dance, you rightfully enjoy high, well-deserved recognition both in our country and abroad,” Putin said. He also noted that Grigorovich’s performances “adorn” the repertoires of the largest Russian and foreign theaters.
In conclusion, Putin wished the choreographer health, well-being and congratulated him on the upcoming New Year holidays.
