Putin and al-Sisi discussed work on the nuclear power plant and industrial zone near the Suez Canal – RBC

Russian President Vladimir Putin held telephone talks with his Egyptian counterpart Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, in the conversation the heads of state discussed the creation of a Russian industrial zone near the Suez Canal and the construction of Egypt’s first nuclear power plant El-Dabaa. Putin and al-Sisi also noted the similarity of the approaches of Moscow and Cairo regarding a political settlement in Libya and praised bilateral cooperation.

Egypt confirmed its intention to participate in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) in June 2022 as a guest. The presidents also agreed to closely contact in the future.
