The burglary in a car had taken place further down in the center. Agents saw the two suspects ride a fatbike on the Prins Hendrikkade around 8.15 pm. They wanted to address them, but they drove on, creating a chase.
That pursuit went on on foot in the plantation neighborhood. On a video of a witness you can see how the men sprint past Hortus, while four agents run after them and also a motorcycle agent.
According to the witness, ‘many police cars’ arrive at that time. The men seem to be hope that they will win the sprint soon. They stop and are worked on the ground.
A police spokesperson said that the two have since been transferred to the cellar complex.
