“With actions such as last Tuesday’s Awareness Walk and the launch of a reporting point, we are taking concrete steps to increase awareness and tackle unsafe situations.”
The municipality wants to talk to women from Purmerend about insecurity in the city early next year. “True safety only comes when we see each other, when we speak, when we intervene when necessary,” says councilor Natalie Saaf.
