Public prosecutor’s office is investigating gay bashing, underage suspects come from the Kortrijk area
The victim is Jef Druyts, chairman of Jong VLD Leuven and former chairman of the European Youth Parliament. He suffered a brain hemorrhage and a skull fracture. On ‘X’ he says he is ‘okay’.
The suspects have been identified, they are minors from the Kortrijk area. The public prosecutor’s office will not comment further.
Became a victim of gay bashing, which has caused me to be in the ICU of the Jan Palfijn Hospital since yesterday morning.
Minor brain hemorrhage and skull fracture, but it could have been worse. I am currently ‘okay’, partly because of the good care.
