THE HAGUE – In March 2022, the Public Prosecution Service tapped almost three hundred telephone conversations between Sywert van Lienden and his two associates Bernd Damme and Camille van Gestel in the criminal investigation into the face mask affair. This concerns more than sixteen hours of recordings, it became apparent in the court in The Hague on Monday, during a lawsuit that the journalistic platform De Correspondent is conducting against the Public Prosecution Service. Van Lienden and Bernd Damme attended the hearing as audience members.
