Psychologist Lic. Flavia Cerutti – BRAND

Lic. Cerutti, what functions do you perform as a professional?

I work as a clinical psychologist in my online office and I am dedicated to spreading the word that it is possible to overcome stress and anxiety disorders in any of their types, especially panic disorder with and without agoraphobia with psychological therapy, in a few sessions and without medication. .

From my own testimony of overcoming panic disorder, with this type of psychological therapy many years ago and from the cases that I witness daily of patients who are discharged and achieve a better quality of life, I analyzed that It is necessary to disseminate this information, because in general patients do not know that in psychotherapy there are different therapeutic approaches and there is also a widespread belief that it is necessary to spend years in therapy talking about the past.

In general, since the type of therapy that is appropriate for their problem is unknown, this leads patients to frequently waste their time, money, and health in long sessions talking about the past.

What aspects are analyzed in cognitive behavioral therapy and what are its characteristics?

Cognitive behavioral therapy does not ignore people’s past, and also that traumatic events have led them to think, feel and act the way they currently do. The difference is that in this therapy we work to correct what is dysfunctional in the patients’ lives in the present moment and looking towards the future, providing them with a better quality of life. In just a few sessions, patients acquire tools to know themselves and self-manage. This means that from the first sessions we work towards patient autonomy, so that they do not have to resort to therapy for the same problem. I like to say that they learn to be their own Psychologists.

Cognitive behavioral therapy is scientific, meaning that it works with techniques that have been scientifically validated and have been proven to have worked for thousands and thousands of people around the world.

For these emotional disorders, therapy has a high percentage of cases of improvement, above 80%. But in almost 100% of cases, the patient achieves significant and stable improvements from the first sessions.

Cognitive behavioral therapy is effective, efficient and effective in overcoming emotional disorders.

It is effective because the change is true and real, it is efficient because it optimizes time, money and the health of patients and it is effective because the changes are lasting and stable.

I am convinced that this society would be much healthier and happier if everyone could go to cognitive behavioral therapy at least once in their life.
