PSV wins the Johan Cruijff Scale (according to these PSV fans)

PSV wins the Johan Cruijff Scale for the thirteenth time on Saturday evening. The loyal PSV fans know for sure: national champion Ajax doesn’t stand a chance. The team of debuting head coach Ruud van Nistelrooij is ready for it. On the basis of three questions, three loyal PSV supporters explain how the Eindhoven club should get the job done:

How did you experience the preparation?

Chairman Rob Boogaarts of Supporters Association PSV: “Very positive. There is a very nice energy in the club, you notice that in the players, but also in the atmosphere in the stands”, says “Everyone seems to be looking forward to it again.”

Daphne van Berkel, who attends every away game as a volunteer as a coach: “They have made very nice purchases. I was especially happy with the return of Luuk de Jong.”

How important is this Johan Cruijff Scale when you look at the European match against Monaco on Tuesday?

Eric van Heijnsbergen, a loyal supporter for over 50 years: “A prize is always a prize. But secretly everyone knows that Tuesday’s game is more important. Especially for the amounts that a Champions League match can bring in.”

Daphne agrees: “Especially if you want to keep players like Cody Gakpo, participation in the Champions League is very important.”

Rob has a different opinion: “Such top athletes should be able to play two important matches in a short period of time. I therefore expect that PSV will not save any players.”

Most importantly, what are your predictions?

Daphne: “Ajax is missing a number of players and has lost a number of important strengths. So I don’t think the quality is going to be that far apart. PSV win 1-2.”

Rob agrees: “We have a wonderful selection and I think that we have come closer to Ajax.” He also thinks that PSV will win 1-2.

Eric predicts the same final score: “A narrow victory. Although of course I hope that it will be 0-4 just like last season.” All three therefore expect the Johan Cruijff Scale to go to Eindhoven. Success therefore seems assured.
