The Spanish striker Lucas Pérez has set his sights on a transition to PSV. Well -informed sources in Spain confirm this to the ANP. The 36-year-old attacker of Deportivo La Coruña wants to work at the Eindhoven club as a replacement for the injured American Ricardo Pepi. PSV does not want to confirm the transition.

Pérez was already in the picture in recent weeks to come to Eindhoven, but due to personal circumstances the Spaniard initially stopped. That has now changed. Pérez would like to sign a contract at PSV until the end of the season.

Transfer -free
Pérez can leave transfer -free to PSV because his contract with Deportivo La Coruña was dissolved last month. The Spaniard has had a long and eventful career, which he started in the third team of Atlético Madrid in 2007. Three years later he made his debut at Rayo Vallecano in the first team. Then he played for Karpaty LVIV, Paok Saloniki, Deportivo La Coruña, Arsenal, West Ham United, Deportivo Alavés and again Deportivo La Coruña.

Upon his return to La Coruña, Deportivo played at the third level in Spain. On the basis of Pérez, the club promoted to the Segunda División, one level below La Liga. Pérez scored 62 goals for the club from Galicia during different periods. He is therefore twelfth on the list of club top scorers. The Dutchman Roy Makaay is fifth on that ranking with 97 hits.
