PSV supporters not to stadium to protest against corona rules

Two PSV supporter groups will not be seen in the Philips Stadium in Eindhoven for the time being. The fans, grouped in Lighttown Madness and BFTS (Boys From The South,) do not agree with the current corona rules. The clubs have been allowed to receive an audience again since last week, but due to the corona rules, they cannot use more than a third of the capacity of their stadiums.

“The stadiums will open again, at least for some of the supporters,” a Lighttown Madness spokesperson wrote on Facebook. “People’s sport number one has become one-third of the people’s sport. It is not up to the lobby of the clubs, they also recognize the importance of full stands. However, for us as groups, one third capacity is unacceptable.”

“First of all, most of the supporters are still excluded,” the text continues. “In addition, our way of experiencing and supporting the club is not possible under these ridiculous rules. As groups, we have therefore decided not to be present in the stands under these regulations. We hope to see you again soon, under normal circumstances. see in our stadium.”
