PSV players Ismael Saibari and Joey Veerman have a chance to be voted Player of the Year of the Eredivisie. Among the women, PSV players Sisca Folkertsma and Liz Rijsbergen have been nominated.
Saibari was also among the nominees last year, when the title went to Sem Steijn. In addition to Saibari and Veerman, who became champions with PSV for the third year in a row, Tjaronn Chery (NEC), Mika Godts (Ajax) and Jacob Trenskow (sc Heerenveen) have also been nominated.
Two PSV players nominated
Among the women, two players from national champion PSV have a chance of being voted best player: Sisca Folkertsma and Liz Rijsbergen. They have competition from Mao Itamura (Feyenoord), Danique Noordman (Ajax) and Jill Roord (FC Twente).
The nominees were chosen by the captains of the Eredivisie clubs, in collaboration with the players’ union VVCS. The captains also choose the final winners. The prizes will be presented on May 25 during an award show.
