PSV has won another competition in the Eredivisie for the first time since January 25. The Eindhoven team defeated SC Heerenveen in their own home 2-1. For a long time it seemed to be a carefree evening, but a goal from Levi Smans still caused some tension. Trainer Peter Bosz will mainly be satisfied with the game shown. PSV showed good football again with times.

The big question was of course which face PSV would show again on Saturday evening. In the last few weeks it seemed to throw a penny in which the coin fell in the wrong direction too often. PSV lost all prizes in one week and shifted the focus to defending second place.

The coin fell in the right direction on Saturday evening. At times the PSV could be seen again from before the winter break. A team that grabbed the opponent by the throat and did not give air for minutes. The fact that after an hour of football there was a 2-0 lead on the scoreboard was more than deserved.

Return Dest
PSV had taken the lead through Ismael Saibari. The midfielder tapped the ball behind Heerenveen keeper Andries Noppert on a pass from Guus Til. The midfielder himself was accurate at the 2-0 after the break. Tilt completed a smart ball from Jerdy Schouten flawlessly. Just before that he managed to miss a 100 percent opportunity.

Apart from the fact that PSV went to grab three points again, it was especially good to see that it could really play fun again. The only point of criticism was the spaces that the team still gives away. Olivier Boscagli also did that about twenty minutes before time. As a result, Levi Smans was able to benefit and shoot the 2-1.

Just before that there was a highlight in the Philips Stadium. Sergino Dest made his return after almost a year of absence the wing defender was injured on his knee for a long time.

Title race
With Dest within the lines it was still exciting, but the victory was no longer in danger for PSV. As a result, the Eindhoven club in the competition finally wins again. The last victory in the Eredivisie dates from January 25. Then NAC Breda was beaten 3-2.

The Eindhoven team will look at a slanted eye on Sunday at what leader Ajax is going to do in Zwolle. Although the gap is quite large, a misstep by the Amsterdammers can probably still lead to an exciting title race. For the time being, PSV is doing good business in the battle for place two.
