The last time the PSV – FC Eindhoven poster was on the program was in 2016. Then the ‘visitors’ won thanks to a goal by Mart Lieder. Since PSV started with what appeared to be a B-team, there now seemed to be opportunities for Rob Penders’ team.

But after half an hour it was already clear that PSV was going to win the light city cup. After about 28 minutes of football it was already 3-0. The first two hits were beautiful attacks that were completed by Yorbe Vertessen and Ismael Saibari. But with the goals, the wonderful thing was in the assists of Johan Bakayoko and Richard Ledezma. The latter already makes a good impression during the entire preparation.

The third Eindhoven goal was a utilized penalty by Marco van Ginkel. FC Eindhoven did not give in and quickly switched to limiting the damage. Recently presented acquisition Naoufal Bannis was sitting on the bench among the visitors. The club from the First Division has already seen many players leave and will almost start rebuilding this year. Trainer Rob Penders has stayed.

Second practice win
After an hour of football, more experienced players came on the field. Moments before, Saibari had made it 4-0. Not much happened in the last half hour. PSV managed to score one more time. In the last minute it was Jordan Teze who tapped a cross into the goal.

It is the second victory for PSV in this practice campaign. Earlier there was a win against Lohne and a draw against Cercle Brugge. There were defeats against Arminia Bielefeld and Villarreal. A practice match against Real Betis awaits on Saturday. Then the real work begins with the Johan Cruijff Scale and the preliminary rounds of the Champions League.
