PSV continues longer with defender Teze

PSV has broken up Jordan Teze’s contract and extended it for a year. The 22-year-old defender is now associated with the Eindhoven team until the summer of 2025.

Teze went through PSV’s youth academy and made his debut in the Eredivisie in August 2018, in the away match against PEC Zwolle. “Today I sign a contract with PSV for the fourth time. I feel very connected to this club,” said Teze, who is starting his sixteenth season with the club.

Under the leadership of trainer Roger Schmidt, Teze has grown into a permanent fixture in the center of the defense over the past two seasons. Sometimes he was forced to play football as a right back.

‘Difficult to understand’

National coach Louis van Gaal selected Teze for the first time for Orange in March. The PSV player did not play in the exhibition matches with Denmark and Germany due to an injury. Teze was selected again on Friday, for the next four matches of the Dutch national team in the Nations League.

“It is actually incomprehensible. I have worked hard in recent months to earn a call for Orange. I looked at my phone today and saw to my great joy that it worked. To top it off, I can now also once sign a renewed contract with PSV. A better day is hardly imaginable,” said Teze, who was born in Groningen.
