PSV easily won from RKC on Saturday evening. In Waalwijk it never became an exciting game and the Eindhoven team walked out to a 3-0 win. With that, PSV is reducing the gap with Ajax to five points for the time being. The Amsterdammers will play the top match against AZ tomorrow. For RKC it is starting to look worse and worse.

It soon became clear that PSV is climbing out of a valley in Waalwijk. It took four minutes until the people of Eindhoven took the lead against the fellow countryman. Ivan Perisic pulled in and shot in the short corner.

A recipe that copied Noa long after forty minutes. The left winger pulled in from the other side and also shot in the short corner. 2-0 for PSV and the game was actually decided in the first half.

First win since December 1
PSV again easily played old -fashioned against an RKC that played well in recent weeks, but had little to say on Saturday evening. Former PSV member Mohamed Ihattaren did not have his day, and with that also seemed very RKC inspiration-free.

Pretty soon after the break, Luuk de Jong finally threw the game in the lock by heading in the 3-0. PSV then knew that it was finally going to win another away game in the Eredivisie. The last time was on December 1. Then FC Utrecht was defeated 2-5 and it seemed that the Eindhoven team would become whistling champions.

Is there still hope for RKC and PSV?
Now PSV cannot do more than performing the pressure towards Ajax. The leader comes into action against AZ on Sunday afternoon. Provided that the Amsterdammers are left, PSV can breathe new life into the title fight in a direct confrontation after the international break. Ajax wins on Sunday, then the gap remains eight points.

For RKC it is starting to look worse and worse. The Waalwijkers are heading for relegation. Although a series of three games against Willem II, Almere City and NAC still gave hope, the scoreless series at the start of the season seems to be the Das to do.

Despite another countless chances for PSV, it remained at 3-0. RKC was left empty -handed without a really big chance.
