The draw for the eighth finals of the KNVB Cup tournament has presented PSV with a task that is not too difficult on paper. The national champion will compete at home against Excelsior, the current leader of the Kitchen Champion Division.
The formation of coach Peter Bosz took the ‘pine cone’ for the eleventh and final time last year at the expense of Ajax. PSV won this week in the second round against Koninklijke HFC from Haarlem (8-0). That was in the own Philips Stadium in Eindhoven.
RKC Waalwijk was too strong for SC Cambuur (4-1) in this phase of the battle. The team of coach Henk Fraser will also receive FC Utrecht on its own field in the next round.
