PSG stumbles at CL dress rehearsal in Nice

Without superstar Kylian Mbappé, leaders Paris Saint-Germain surprisingly stumbled in the top game of Ligue 1 at OGC Nice.

The French cup winners lost 0-1 (0-0) against the third-placed team after a largely uninspired performance with a late goal. Mbappé missed four days before the second leg of the Champions League round of 16 at Real Madrid due to a yellow card suspension.

Andy Delort scored the only goal for the courageous hosts with two minutes remaining. Especially in the second round, the dreaded PSG offensive around Lionel Messi and Neymar hardly managed any offensive actions worth mentioning. With a 13-point lead over the new second-placed team, Nice, PSG are clearly on course for the championship title.

On Wednesday in Madrid, Paris managed a draw thanks to a 1-0 win in the first leg to reach the quarter-finals.
