PSG only with a draw in Strasbourg

A week after winning the French soccer championship, Paris Saint-Germain is threatened with a rather dreary final phase of the season.

The star ensemble around Kylian Mbappé did not get more than 3: 3 (1: 1) at Racing Straßburg and remained without a win for the second time in a row: Last weekend Paris had made their tenth championship perfect with a 1: 1 against RC Lens .

With 79 points, PSG is enthroned at the top, but there is no euphoria around the club. The knockout round in the Champions League against Real Madrid was too painful, and there have also been fan protests recently.

Strasbourg, who are still fighting for a place in Europe, took the lead early on Friday evening through Kevin Gameiro (2nd). Mbappe’s equalization (23rd) lasted for quite a while, only ex-Dortmunder Achraf Hakimi (64th) put Paris in the lead for the first time. Mbappe followed up again (68th), but an own goal by Marco Verratti (75th) caused tension in the final phase – and the future Mainz player Anthony Caci (90th + 2) scored the acclaimed draw.

Thilo Kehrer came on for Hakimi in the 89th minute, national team colleague Julian Draxler is still missing due to a knee injury.
