Proximus will switch off the 3G network by the end of 2024. The bandwidth and infrastructure that has become available will be used by the telecom operator to further strengthen the faster 4G and 5G networks, the company reports in a press release. Earlier, Orange and Telenet/Base, the other major operators with their own physical network, took the decision to discontinue the older 3G network.
